Anton Corbijn is one of my favorite artists. He is a photographer, he directs music videos and he does films. I found him throught Depeche Mode. He has done many of their music videos and concert films. He also has several books out. Several of his books are out of print which makes me sad. I would have liked to have gotten the Depeche Mode one. Anyways, so I'll show a couple of his photographs, but he has done a lot. A lot of magasin covers and works for bands, artist, all that stuff. His movie, "Control: The Ian Curtis Film". It's about the life of Ian Curtis, the frontman of Joy Divison. It's based on the book 'Touching From a Distance' (about her late husband) by Deborah Curtis. It is also based the bio 'Torn Apart' by Lindsay Reade and Mick Middles
Anton does a lot of work with celebrities, a lot of photographing them. His photos seem to be more, I dunno, classic. Something like that.  Here is one of Cameron Diaz and Ewan McGregor. I mostly like how Ewan's face is on her lap (assuming) and it's parcially hidden. At first glance, it took me a while to figure out where Ewan was in this photo. He is mostly known in the music industry for his work with U2 and Depeche Mode.
Palm Pictures released a DVD collection of his music video output. It was part of a Director's Label series.
