Not set in chronological order, the story follows three different individuals. John Hartigan (Bruce Willis) is an honest cop (unlike most things/people in Sin City). He is trying to save pre-teen Nancy Callahan (Jessica Alba) from Roark Junior (Nick Stahl) who is a rapist and serial killer. The second person is Marv (Mickey Rourke). A big thug. He spends the night with a prostitute named Goldie (Jaime King). As they sleep, she is murdered, soundlessly. When Marv awakens and hears the sirens, he realizes that he has been set up. He promises Goldie's dead body that he will avenge her. Once he escapes the house, he looks in search of Goldie's killer. The third man is Dwight McCarthy (Clive Owen) is a private investigator. Shellie (Brittany Murphy), his girlfriend, is being harassed by her ex-boyfriend Jack Rafferty (Benicio Del Toro). After some events take place, Jack and his friends leave Shellie's place and goes to Old Town. Old Town is a place where all the prostitutes live and rule.

I was really excited to finally see this movie, but it was kind of a disappointment. Don't get me wrong, it was still good, but I expected it to be better. It was pretty sexist too, in a way. But I guess that's what the stories are about. Some of the people said things in ways that just made you think, "Are you serious?" And the "asian" girl, really didn't look asian. It just looked like they made her eyeliner go upwards. I liked the way it was parted into three different stories and I did like the nararration of the characters. So, overall it was pretty well done. I give it a 7/10.

Sidenote: The movie is an adaption of Frank Miller's graphic novel of the same name.

Sincerly,
