Fatal Frame 3: The Tormented (video game) Project Zero Tecmo
Rei Kurosawa is a freelance photographer. She is on assignment in a supposedly haunted mansion, taking pictures. While she is there, she sees her dead fiance in part of a corridor. She takes his picture. After this experience, she begins to have life like nightmares. In them, she is pursuing her dead fiance. During her first nightmare, she has a terrifying encounter and when she wakes up, her body aches and a mysterious tattoo begins to appear. Appearing with Rei is Kei Amakura, a friend of Yuu (Rei's deceased fiance). Also appearing is Miku Hinasaki. (From the first Fatal Frame). It has been 2 years, since her experience in the Himuro Mansion. Along the way you discover secrets of the manor of sleep (where the nightmares take place) and the final game has weaved the previous two games into one, very nicely.
I am a huge fan of the Fatal Frame series. They're mysterious, terrifying, the plot is fantastic. They are amazing and brilliant games. And so very sad. They all seem to have a bitter sweet ending. It took me forever to actually find Fatal Frame 3. No one was selling it and I had to buy it used, for the same price of a new game. I got it anyways, because I knew Tecmo wouldn't let me down on this series. I loved the plot, and I especially loved the way both previous games were mentioned in it. I also adored the fact that Miku was there. It was simply an amazing game. If you can find it, rent it, buy it. (If you're into ghosts, paranormal, Japanese, ritual type stuff). It was so frightening. And of course, I loved the theme. It was done by Tsukiko Amano. The title is Koe. Here's the video.
