Elf (on DVD, it's an old one, I know, but it's Christmas!)
Directed by: Jon Favreau
Tagline: -This holiday, discover your inner elf.
Starring:
-Will Ferrell
-James Caan
-Zooey Deschanel
-Mary Steenburgen
-Edward Asner
-Bob Newhart
Buddy (Will Ferrell), was a baby in a New York orphanage when he crawled into Santa's bag. Santa (Edward Asner) only realized when he returned to the North Pole. It was decided that he would be raised as an elf, by the elves. Once he is older, they tell him the truth, and now he is in search of his real father.
I know this is an old one from 2003, but It's Christmas. I don't really like Christmas movies, they seem either, retarded, or just cheesy and boring. This Christmas movie, I liked. (It's also going to be playing on CBC, so that's exciting for me!) I enjoyed this film, a lot. Some parts were kind of...stupid, but I love Will Ferrell and his humour. I pretty much love any movie, if Will Ferrell is in it. He somehow makes it all worthwhile. I heard someone say, somewhere that "those who like Will Ferrell, like him a lot." And it's true! Anyways, so Will Ferrell is hilarious, the movie is great and I found the other actors were great as well. It was a thouroughly well done movie. I can't wait to watch it again.
This was much shorter than my usual posts, but I'll post more later. Maybe.
Sincerly,
