Before I say anything here is a three minute clip about/from the movie. Please watch it.

I honestly don't even know where to begin about this topic. I remember hearing about the film when it first came out, but paid no attention to it. We know Human Trafficking exists, and before this film I didn't know to what extent.
Children has young has 4 years old, FOUR YEARS OLD are sold by their parents, or kidnapped into sexual slavery. And it is just sick. This Film tells the story, of what goes in places that we cannot see. A man sells his little girl. A mother is taken from her child by a man she trusted, a young woman wants to go to America, but with the wrong people. This film is extraordinary. Never before have I had to stop a movie in the middle because I felt sick to my stomach because of what I was seeing.
This film is so intense, it grips you from the very beginning, and does not let you go. This film is so well done, I absolutely adore Remy Girard, he is one of my absolutely favorite Quebecois Actors. I loved the fact that a lot of the film was filmed in Montreal and there were a lot of Canadian/Quebec Actors in the movie.
They were all amazing. Sarah Jeanne Labrosse who is really young and incredibly talented. Each and every performance was brilliant.
Knowing that this is going on right now in this world is deplorable. It is horrendous and shocking. And this film only shows us half of what is going on, because I am positive it is a thousand times worse. Hopefully this film will reach out to people and create awareness. Because this is definitely something that must be stopped.

"A timeless story of innocence lost and humanity found"

I saw a preview for this movie and had to see it right away.
It's an amazing movie, I know I say that about a lot of movies, but I like to watch the good ones, what can I say?
It's the type of movie that makes you think
Yes, it's about the holocaust, but it's not at all graphic.
What I liked most about the film was that it did not rely on using extreme violence to make you realize "My god what's going on there is terrible" I mean, we already know that, but Mark Herman did it so beautifully, am I making any sense?
There is a scene in the film (This is NOT a spoiler) where the wife of the commanding officer finds out about certain things that are going on in the camps and she totally freaks out, she does not like it. And that scene is so amazing, because, yes she is married to a Nazi, but you feel that she disagrees with what is going on, yet she has no say, not only because she's a woman, but because it could cost her her life. And I thought that whole scene/storyline was just done so well yet very haunting. Am I making sense yet?
Even though the film is not a true story it is so realistic in a way that, there's a scene in which the daughter of the commander is putting up posters of Hitler on her wall, and thinking about it, there must have been so many people, young people putting up posters of him on their walls. And on several occasions during the film the nazis talk about the jews and say such things as "They are not real people" etc etc...It just..breaks your heart. It really is amazing, and I really recommend seeing it, the performances were brilliant.

Jack Scanlon who plays the little jewish boy in the camp just makes you want to cry.
He makes you think about all the little children who were in those camps and what they must have gone through. His performance was truly one of a kind.
And I just have to mention Vera Farmiga again, who played the Wife, she was just brilliant.
I could just go on and on about the film and what I think and the subject but I'll just stop here by saying please go and see this Film, it is so worth it.
It truly is one of a kind.
Until next time
