Written and Directed by Sofia Coppola
Cast:
Scarlett Johansson
Bill Murray

Bob Harris is an American film actor who goes to Japan to appear in commercials, and there he meets Charlotte, the young wife of a visiting photographer.

When I first heard of this movie I didn't think I would like it, but to my surprise, it wasn't at all what I thought it would be, its definately not one of my favourite movies, but it was actualy not bad, not something I would watch for movie night, but still something I wasn't praying for it to be over.
It's a 5/10, I would say see it at least once, it's nothing spectacular but still pretty interesting, but that's just my view.

Channing Tatum

From his Autobiograpical of the same title, A Guide to Recognizing your Saints tells the story of Dito Montiel's life growing up in Astoria Queens in the 1980's.

This movie is...... amazing, really raw, intense, but so powerful,it's so realistic and just shows the incredibly rough lifestyle that some children are simply born into, and their struggles to survive.
I give it a 8/10, the acting was excellent, the story is just amazing, its so true and real, I definately recommend this film, it's a must see. But that's just my view.

Stranger Than Fiction: 5/10

Stranger Than Fiction (on DVD)
Directed by: Marc Forster
Taglines:
-Harold Crick isn't ready to go. Period.
-Truth is stranger than fiction.
-He's not crazy. He's just written that way.
Starring:
-Will Ferrell
-Maggie Gyllenhaal
-Dustin Hoffman
-Queen Latifah
-Emma Thompson

One day, Harold Crick (Will Ferrell) hears a voice, narratoring his life. What he does, how he eats, what he sees, how he thinks. He goes to proffessor Jules Hilbert (Dustin Hoffman) for help, once he finds out the narrator decides to kill him off.

I was excited to see this movie, but it wasn't really that great. It was cute. Not like, adorable kitty cute, just like, that's sweet, cute. If you get what I'm saying. Will Ferrell was classic. Everything he does is funny in it's own way. It was nice to see him in a more serious way than in his other movies. It was a good kind of change. Emma Thompson was absolutley brilliant. I loved her so much in this movie. She was...fantastic. Dustin Hoffman's character was really quite funny, but it was very subtle. Maggie Gyllenhaal was pretty good as well. None of the acting was bad, it was all good. The storyline, like I said, it was cute. It was a sweet movie and an, actually pretty interesting idea. I give it 5.

300: 9/10

300 (In Theaters)
Directed by: Zack Snyder
Taglines:
-Prepare for glory!
-Spartans, tonight, we dine in hell!
-Thirsty for Spartan blood!
-Pledged to crush!
Starring:
-Gerard Butler
-Lena Headey
-David Wenham
-Dominic West
-Rodrigo Santoro
-Andrew Tiernan

Based on Frank Millers graphic novel '300' and loosely based on the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC. The Persian King Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) threatens to rule over Sparta and the rest of Greece. When the Spartan King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) hears about this, he decides to put an end to it. He takes 300 of his finest soldiers and goes out to stop King Xerxes.

I LOVE this movie! It was so beautiful and just amazing. Currently, it's my movie of the year. The graphics, fighting style, cinamatography was absolutley beautiful. It was gorgeous. The acting was so brilliant. I loved the way, Zack Snyder, made Queen Gorgo (Lena Headey) a powerful character. It gave empowerment to women, in a time when there was not much power. What I thought was even more beautiful was the fact that King Leonidas, new and aknowledged Queen Gorgo's power. In fact, she even tells him to push the man into the pit. He asks her. (In a subtle way, of course). Overall it was fantastic. The acting was so amazing and it left me feeling pumped and energized. I almost wish I was a Spartan. It was wonderfully done. The only reason this is getting a 9 and not a 10 is because, the only thing I didn't like about the film, was the animal violence. I do understand that Spartan's aren't supposed to feel anything, and that it was necessary, but I love animals and that whole part kind of made me feel uncomftorable. Other than that, the film was brilliantly done. Congratulations to all.

Here is the trailer:
P.S. The music in the second half of the trailer is 'Just Like You Imagined' by Nine Inch Nails.

Imaginary Heroes: 6/10
Thursday, March 22, 2007
Directed by: Dan Harris (on DVD)
Tagline: People are never who they seem to be.
Starring:
-Sigourney Weaver
-Emile Hirsch

*The Travis family façade is destroyed by an event incomprehensible to them -- an event which will open locked doors and finally reveal the secrets that have haunted them for decades.

I thought it was well done. The acting was pretty good. This was a used DVD, so a lot of parts froze and skipped, I didn't get the entire movie, but I still get what happened. It was good. But not amazing. I wouldn't recommened you see it, but if you're looking for some kind of family that's not really a family but learn to love each other and be a family, kind of movie than this is it. It was pretty funny at times.

Here's the trailer.

Harry Potter and Wal-Mart.
Tuesday, March 13, 2007
Here is a parody of Harry Potter. It's about how evil Wal-Mart is. I thought it was hilarious, and sadly true.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 7
Thursday, March 08, 2007
Directed by: Joss Whedon
Starring:
-Sarah Michelle Gellar
-Nicholas Brendon
-Alyson Hannigan
-Anthony Head
-James Marsters
-Emma Caulfield
-Michelle Trachtenberg

Buffy Summers is a vampire slayer and in this season, her and her friends will be fighting, "The First". With the help of good old Spike.

I pretty much watched the whole season while at Lisa's house. (Since she's in love with Buffy). She, of course, wanted me to do a review about it. I agreed, and it's a great excuse to look for and post videos of Spike. :D Have I mentioned how much I love him? I do. This season is fantastic because Spike is in pretty much every single one, and you really get to see a lot of him and his personality. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a really entertaining show and I love watching it, but the main reason I love it so much is for Spike, so yes, I'm going to talk about him. A lot.
You know what? Just rent it and see some of it. You'll fall in love. Here is a scene from the episode, "Beneath You." It's the most beautiful scene ever! The cinematography is gorgeous, the entire way it is filmed, gorgeous. The acting, god, Spike and Buffy, perfect. Sarah Michelle Gellar and James Marsters are simply amazing. I love this, especially the end bit with the cross. But I mean, the dialogue is beautiful, the acting, everything about this scene is perfect. It's also heartbreaking, especially if you know the story. Anyhoo enjoy.

Now I'm not sure what episode or season this next clip is from. (I'll ask Lisa, and get back to you on it). But, I found it while looking for Spike clips from season 7, and I laughed so hard! This is so brilliant. I absolutley love it. So much. It's another great Spike moment. I'd watch every single Buffy, just to see Spike.

Zodiac: 7/10
Tuesday, March 06, 2007
Directed by: David Fincher
Taglines: There's more than one way to lose your life to a killer.
Starring:
-Jake Gyllenhaal
-Robert Downey Jr.
-Mark Ruffalo
-Anthony Edwards
-Brian Cox
-Chloe Sevigny
-Elias Koteas
-Donal Logue
-John Carroll Lynch
-Dermot Mulroney

Based on the book Zodiac by Robert Graysmith. The non-fiction book is about the Zodiac Killer.

Set in the late 1960's and early 1970's, the film is about the real life Zodiac Killer. Following, detective David Toschi (Mark Ruffalo) and cartoonist Robert Graysmith (Jake Gylenhaal) who later on wrote a book about the Zodiac Killer, the film shows the stress of the persons investigating the case, as well as the murders.

At first, I did not want to watch this film, but then I found out David Fincher directed it (Fight Club and Se7en) and that made me want to see it, of course. I absolutley loved the cinematography and just the way it was done. I think it did portray the real events very well, and the stress the people involved, must have been feeling. It was a bit slow, you know, eventually it just got to "who's the guy" but I think it ended nicely and the acting was pretty good. It wasn't amazing, but good. Robert Downey Jr did a fantastic job as Peter Avery Jake Gylenhaal did all right. All in all, I say go see it, it was well done and just a good film in general.

Here's the trailer.

X-Files: Season 1 Bloopers.
Sunday, March 04, 2007
Here are some great bloopers from season 1 of the X-Files. They won't be that great if you don't know/love something or someone involved in the X-Files. But if you're a fan. Watch it. It is hilarious stuff. Love David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. They are so cute.

I'll try and post some other season bloopers up, later on.

Buffy: Touched.
Yes, I know I promised a Buffy episode review, on wednesday, but I lied. Twice. This isn't an episode review. It's just a little Buffy post, mostly a tribute to Lisa. She loves Buffy.
So, I was looking for some good Buffy episodes on Youtube. Episodes I have actually seen, but instead I found this. I haven't seen this episode, but it made tears well (well not fall). It's from the episode, 'Touched'. (I think). I think it's absolutley beautiful. Enjoy.

Here is a little something from Buffy fan, Lisa:

So this is lisa here I am the one that asked for the buffy review seeign as buffy is freaking awesome!! the episode touched very good. it's the 3rd to last episdoe of buffy made. And I find its very well titled in mroe then one way the whole episode I believe is about touching not necesarily physical but emotional also.
Buffy gets the final strength she needs from spike. I think thye have a great relationship. A little quirky but what relationship in buffy isnt a little quirky.
